In His Great Commission to the church, the Lord Jesus gave us a mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations….” (Matthew 28:19). Therefore we are compelled to not only take His Good News across the street, but across the world. We accomplish this by supporting missionaries all over the world and offering short-term mission trips. Our goal is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people from every tribe, tongue and nation so they may have the opportunity to experience the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Dane County works with the local community to build simple, decent homes for hardworking deserving families. Through the Apostles Build program, Hillcrest Bible Church and other area churches have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to fully fund and build a house for local families here in Oregon. As Jesus' original apostles were joined in the mission to spread the word about Jesus, Hillcrest joins with other Apostles Build churches by assisting in Habitat's mission to provide decent shelter for God's children.

Volunteers can be part of this rewarding ministry first and foremost by praying over the families and the site work crews. Other opportunities include serving as part of the construction crew as well as preparing/serving morning and lunch food breaks.

Oregon/Brooklyn Food Pantry

The Oregon Brooklyn Food Pantry is located at Hefty Warehouse Unit#8 on the corner of Union Rd and Lincoln Rd and is open the 3rd Thursday of the month. If you are in need of assistance prior to the next food pantry date please contact Pastor Fred.

Short-Term Missions

We offer short-term missions trips for those who desire a hands-on experience in worldwide evangelism. During the week of Christmas 2006, a team of over 84 people traveled to Mexico. We experienced some travel difficulties that served to unify our group tremendously. At several locations in the Ensenada area we distributed clothing and blankets, played games with the children and provided some medical care. We also raised money for and built houses for two families who had lived in shacks constructed with pallets. We shared the love of Christ as we interacted with the Mexican people. Trinidad Missions Trip

In the summer of 2008 Hillcrest sent a team of teens & adults to Trinidad & Tobago. The team ran an open air Vacation Bible School and worked in five orphanages as well as a home for the elderly, a youth prison and rehab center.
