Who We Are
Hillcrest Bible Church is a non-denominational evangelical church that began as a handful of believers in 1990. Being non-denominational, people from many different church backgrounds (and some with no church background) attend here. We are a congregation that is alive, active, and growing.

It is our desire to reach broken and hurting people with the extravagant love of Jesus Christ. We believe that the emptiness inside every human heart can only be filled through a relationship with God through Jesus, so He is the One we proclaim rather than religion.

Our services employ contemporary worship music with messages from the Bible that are practical and communicated in an easy to understand way.

We would love to have you as our guest. Our service times are Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:30 am in our Auditorium.

Our Mission
Our Mission is to help people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

We believe that all people matter to God and so much so that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place and become our sacrificial substitute, winning for us life and heaven and hope through the power of the resurrection.

We exist to proclaim the gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to all, beginning in our community. We desire to see people respond to this message by receiving Christ as Lord and Savior. It is then our responsibility to teach these same people how to grow in their walk with Christ, by learning the Scriptures and applying them to their lives.

We see church as a place where…

  • People find real help, experience real change, and discover real answers.
  • People can know they are fully forgiven, fully free in Christ, and off the performance treadmill forever.
  • People have nothing to prove, nothing to lose, and no reason to pretend.
  • People are trained, equipped, and empowered to impact lives across the street and around the world.
  • People experience authentic community and spiritual growth.
  • Serving others is a joy, not an obligation.
  • Creativity and innovation are encouraged, not feared.
  • People are free to succeed, free to fail, and free to attempt great things for God.

What We Teach

  • That the Bible is the inspired Word of God, correct and true in all its parts and the only source for all teaching and conduct of the Christian.
  • That all people are sinners separated from God, cannot save themselves and deserve eternal punishment.
  • That Jesus Christ, God's Son and true God, having also become true man, lived, suffered, died and rose for the sins of all people, that we might not be separated from God any longer.
  • That all of us have sinned and thereby have separated ourselves from God, that we cannot save ourselves, and deserve eternal banishment from God's presence.
  • That each person, therefore, is saved from eternal separation from God by the grace of God Himself, through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • That in response to this loving gift of God, Christians will strive to live holy lives as the fruit of their faith.
  • That Christians are to be united with other believers in a faithful local church where they may grow in their faith, serve God and do His Work, and where they may also follow Christ in believer's baptism and remember Him through communion.
  • That serving others is a joy, not just an obligation.
  • That God created us to enjoy our fellowship and to live in a loving relationship with Him forever.

Our Core Values
The core values of Hillcrest Bible Church form the basis for much of what we do as a church. They reflect some fundamental beliefs that have been held by the leadership since the church's inception, and hopefully well into the distant future.

  • The Bible is our trustworthy, sufficient guide to this life and the afterlife. Psalm 12:6; 2 Timothy 3:16
  • Everyone should be loved and accepted in the church.
    Romans 15:7; Ephesians 4:32
  • Christian Ministry is to be carried out by the congregation. Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Peter 4:10
  • People are what matter to God.
    John 3:16; Zechariah 2:8
  • Churches should be led by spiritual men with leadership gifts. 1 Timothy 5:17
  • We must pass genuine Christianity to the next generation. Deuteronomy 6:6-7; Matthew 19:14
  • Christianity is best expressed in a contemporary manner.
    1 Chronicles 12:32; Mark 7:8; 1 Corinthians 9:22
  • Excellence in ministry brings glory to God.
    Numbers 18:29; Colossians 3:23
  • Spirit-filled teaching is the catalyst for change in people's lives. John 17:17
  • All Christians are to be growing Christians.
    2 Peter 3:18
